SPE is an organization that began as a committee within operations of The American Institute of Mining Engineers in the early 1900s. Since then, they’ve specialized to become an organization that serves as a clearing house for new technology, research and advancements of petroleum engineering. The organization publish several professional periodicals and resource publications, including PetroWiki and several magazines.and other news worthy magazines.

AAPG is an organization that works to bring together the brightest minds in geology, geophysics, geochemistry, engineering, and innovative analytics to discover and perfect the best ways to explore, find, and produce natural gas, petroleum, and other subsurface liquids in an environmentally friendly manner. 

Engineers Without Borders

EWB-USA is an organization that works with communities worldwide to improve their quality of life through engineering projects. The USA team of EWB with other international groups has worked to improve the lives of thousands of people around the world through sustainable engineering projects. By training engineers in the communities they are helping EWB help to seed ownership by helping communities gain access to affordable engineering solutions to critical infrastructure problems. Working with engineering students in the communities they are serving, helps create a solid base for the work to continue even after their job is finished.

SIPES is an organization of professional earth scientists that work actively in five states, with 11 active chapters. With monthly networking meetings and seminars from respected professionals in the sciences, the purpose is to share information, learn new things, and keep the industry’s standards high. They strive to encourage professional standards and ecological respect of their planet.

Gleason’s experience has been accumulated mostly in the oil and gas basins of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Louisiana. However, he is also familiar with the producing areas located in the Michigan Basin, the Williston Basin, the Denver-Julesberg Basin, the Illinois Basin, the Black Warrior Basin, the Bighorn Basin, Powder River Basin, Green River Basin, Unita Basin, the Paradox Basin and the San Juan Basin.

Not surprisingly, Mr Gleason has worked the Aqua Fria, Vera Cruz and Cantarell Basins of Mexico, and the Alberta Basin of Canada.

More recently, Dennis has assisted with the evaluation of oil and gas assets located in the North Sea, Ukraine, on-shore and off-shore Angola, on-shore Indonesia and off-shore Viet Nam.
